James Carroll Butler
April 11, 1932 ~ October 15, 2018


James C. Butler of Wynnewood was born April 11, 1932 in Oklahoma City, Ok to Margiana [Ward] and Earl Leroy Butler. James passed away on October 15, 2018 in Davis, Ok at the age of 86.

He married Joyce Marie [Turner] on February 14, 1953 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

James worked as an Oklahoma City Firefighter, and was a member of the Baptist church in Wynnewood, Ok. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Cynthia and Kent Christman; his 3 sons and daughter in laws; James C. Butler II and Barbara, Rodney B. Butler and Darlene, Kevin D. Butler and Carol; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce; 4 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 great grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday October 18, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the Wynnewood Baptist Church. Interment will be at the Katie Cemetery.
