J. R. Barnes
March 28, 1937 ~ December 10, 2017


J.R. was born on March 28, 1937 and passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017.

J.R. was a resident of Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the time of passing. He grew up and attended school at Roady, Oklahoma.

Mr. Barnes is survived by: His wife: Linda Barnes of the home 2 Sons: John Barnes and Carla Smith of Elmore City, Oklahoma Tracy Williams and Jackie of Elmore City, Oklahoma 2 Daughters: Sheila Henderson of Wynnewood, Oklahoma Nina Chappell of Tishomingo, Oklahoma 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Barnes was preceded in death by: His parents: John and Grace Barnes 2 brothers: Emmett and James Barnes Sister: Lois Young Sons-in-law: James Chappell and Ardis Henderson Granddaughter: Amber Rae Covington.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Katie Victory Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Beckham officiating. Interment will be in the Katie Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
