Edgar "Ed" Williamson


Ed Williamson of Wynnewood was born November 1, 1916 in Daisy, Oklahoma to Ernest L. Williamson and Lessie McKay Williamson.

He passed away June 10, 2008 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years.

Edgar Williamson was married to Louise Kay in Foster, Oklahoma on July 21, 1932.

The Garvin County area has been his home most of his life. He was a retired truck driver and was a member of the Wynnewood First Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Louise; a son, Dwight Williamson; one great-grandson, Aaron Beck; as well as a sister and a brother.

Surviving family include his children: Wendell Williamson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Wynn Williamson of Pauls Valley, Jean Robinson of San Diego, California, and Eddie Williamson of Ventura, California; one brother, R.C. Williamson of Abernathy, Texas; one sister, Ima Leta Brooks of Elmore City; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Kerry Williamson, Ron Williamson, Jason Williamson, Scott Young, Tom Orlando and Paul Kilcreast. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. David Brooks. Interment will be at Foster Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
