Roena E. [Jones] House Owens

Roena E. House Owen of Foster, Oklahoma was born September 13, 1913 to Ben D. and Stella (Winn) Jones in Eola, Oklahoma and passed from this life on August 30, 2006 in Purcell, Oklahoma at the age of 92 years. She grew up in Humphrey, Oklahoma near Altus, Oklahoma.

She was married to Lewis House. After the death of Mr. House, Roena married Otto Owen. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Roena graduated from Burroughs High School near Lindsay, Oklahoma and graduated from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma. She was a school teacher for many years. Roena was a member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and ceramic painting. Her brothers and sisters always look up to her. She taught her family to be loving and giving persons.

Mrs. Owen is survived by; 1 Son: Mike House and his wife Debbie of Foster, Oklahoma 1 Step-daughter: Mary 1 Brother: Ben Jones of Davis, Oklahoma 1 Sister: Pat Stanfill of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 4 Grandsons: Michael House of Springfield, Missouri Robert House of Maysville, Oklahoma Jeff House of Maysville, Oklahoma Lewis House of Foster, Oklahoma 5 great-grandchildren: Miranda and Daniel House Brooklynn House Kaleb and Kierstyn House all of Maysville, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Owen was preceded in death by: Her Husbands: Lewis House and Otto Owen Her Parents: Ben and Stella Jones 2 Brothers: Curtis and Bill Jones 4 Sisters: Freeda Thomas, Leta Stephens, Joy Crelia and Wanda Simmons

Funeral services for Mrs. Owen are scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2006 in the First United Methodist Church in Elmore City. Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
