Bobby Dean Gollihur


Bobby Dean Gollihur, 59, of Okla. City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2007 at St. John Hospital in Tulsa after a short illness.

He was the son of Mary Frances [Morgan] and Regneld Robert Gollihur of Okla. City, both deceased.

Bobby Dean loved the water and was an avid swimmer and water skier. He also was a talented guitarist. Motorcycle riding was one of Bobby's favorite activities.

He attended Southeast High School where he was on the wrestling team.

As a young man, Bobby wanted to serve his country and enlisted in the Army, where he completed his high school education. He bravely served his country in the Viet Nam War.

After returning home, Bobby was a sheet metal worker at Tinker AFB. In recent years, he was a resident at the Norman Veterans Center and Sulphur Veterans Center.

Suriviving family members include a brother, Jerry Gollihur of Okla. City, and cousin, John Lacey of Moore.

The family wishes to acknowledge the M.I.C.U. physicians and nurses at St. John Hospital in Tulsa for their kindness and for providing excellent care to Bobby during his illness.

Visitation will be Wednesday at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, 5005 SE 29th, Del City, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., with a graveside service at Foster Cemetery, Foster, OK at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2007.

Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.
