Carol [Davis] Andes
October 6, 1944 ~ April 25, 2023

Carol was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She left this world for her heavenly home on 04/25/2023

Carol was born on October 6, 1944 in Devine, TX to PJ and Sallie [Foster] Davis.

The family moved to OK in 1953. Carol grew up in Elmore City.

After graduating from high school, she moved to Florida to live with her sister Ila, but she kept remembering a special young man she had met earlier that summer back in Oklahoma. The heart wants what the heart wants, so on December 21, 1963 she married Keith Andes. Together, they were blessed with two daughters. The Andes family moved from OKC to Purcell in 1983.

Carol was an avid reader and loved to learn. She continued her education at OCCC And later earned her Oklahoma Certification in Librarianship from ODL. She retired from the Pioneer Library System in 2014. Upon hearing someone say, "I don't like to read" she would proclaim, you just haven't found what you enjoy reading, and proceed to grill them about their interests and hobbies "there are books about that".

Preceded in death by parents, sisters, Dorothy Britt, Juanita Gross, Mary Chumley, Gloria Patteson, Ruth Trimble and brother Jesse Davis.

Survived by: Husband Keith Andes of Purcell, OK, Daughter Cheree Andes-Smedley, son-in-law Tony Smedley and granddaughter Makenna Smedley all of Fort Smith Arkansas, daughter Aimee Wright and son-in-law Wayne Wright both of Norman OK. Sisters, Ila Edgar of Florida and Glenda Kinison of Texas, brothers Harty Davis of Choctaw, OK and David Davis of Midwest City, OK, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Foster Cemetery, Elmore City, OK.
