Dalton Brendon Ables
Wyatt David Ables

Harrah - Wyatt and Dalton Ables entered this life Sept. 29, 2005, identical twins born in Norman to Brandy Ables, and entered eternal life Saturday, March 5, 2011, at the age of 5. The boys spent the majority of their childhood days in Foster before moving to Harrah.

They were born two minutes apart, with Wyatt being ahead. They were climbers, any tree, or anything they could climb. The higher they could climb; the better. They loved to play crash with cars and also loved playing with tractors and other toys.

They were both outgoing, and loved helping their mother anytime. When one of the boys was passive, the other was aggressive. They were in cahoots in everything they did. The neighbor's big apple tree was their favorite hangout. They were free as birds and they switched roles easily.

They had the twin language down to a tee. Since they were identical twins, they loved playing games on adults, who could not tell them apart. Sometimes, they were asked just one time too often if they were identical twins, so they would roll their eyes and look at whoever would ask such a question.

The boys were faithful members of the First Baptist Church of Elmore City, where Dr. Bruce McCray was the only pastor they had ever had, and they attended Sunday School where Debbie Balentine and Renee Chapman taught them about the Lord.

The boys are survived by their mother, Brandy Ables of Harrah; grandparents, Jim and Camelia Drake, of Childress, Texas, and Esther and John Key, of Tuttle; aunts, Camelia Griffith, of Harrah, Angelina Drake, of Summit, Ark., and Leah Aufill, of Perkins; and uncles, Stephan Ables, of Foster, and Phillip Ables, of Norman.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in the Elmore City First Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce McCray officiating. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.woosterfuneralhomes.com. Services are under the direction of Wooster Funeral Home.
