Rochelle White Buffalo Sr


STRATFORD ~ Services for Rochelle White Buffalo, Sr., 72, are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Hazel Wallace and Rev. Melvin Gaines will officiate. Burial will follow at Dixon Chapel. A Wake Service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Criswell Chapel.

Mr. White Buffalo died Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Oklahoma City. He was born August 30, 1943 in Concho, OK to Herbert White Buffalo and Susie Sandhill White Buffalo. He attended Concho grade school and graduated from Chilocco Indian School. He received a certificate from Okmulgee Vo-Tech.

He married Joy Lynn Gaines April 6, 1965 in Pauls Valley. Mr. White Buffalo was a Custodian at McCall's Chapel and he was a member of the Dixon Chapel Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joy, of the home; two sons, Efrain White Buffalo of Stratford and Rochelle White Buffalo, Jr. of Ada; five grandchildren, Shanna White Buffalo, Kyle White Buffalo, Matthew White Buffalo, Kelsy White Buffalo and Corey White Buffalo and wife Lori; four brothers, Herbie White Buffalo, Watonga, Melvin Roman Nose, El Reno, Quinton Roman Nose, Watonga and Edwin Sandhill, El Reno; and a sister, Cynthia Medicine Bear, Watonga.

He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Scott White Buffalo; and two sisters, Beatrice Nanpooya and Elizabeth Roman Nose.

Bearers will be Efrain White Buffalo, Rochelle White Buffalo, Jr., Kyle White Buffalo, Matthew White Buffalo, Corey White Buffalo and Brian Medicine Bear. Honorary bearers will be Kurt Medicine Bear and William Gaines.
