Henry Clay Jackson Jr.


Henry Clay Jackson, Jr., of Wynnewood, passed away March 29, 2015 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma at the age of 67 years.

Henry was born December 18, 1947 in Davis, Oklahoma to Henry Clay and Rosa Jackson. He was raised in the Davis and Hennipen area and has made Wynnewood his home for over 30 years. He was a Truck Driver and for the past number of years has worked for the Wynnewood Schools. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Wynnewood.

On June 25, 1967 he was married to Gloria Jackson Peachlyn in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; she preceded him in death on August 6, 1996. Also preceding him in death are his parents, Henry C. and Rosa Jackson; his son, James Henry Jackson; and 3 siblings, Travis Stevenson, Betsy Joseph and Geraldine Williams.

Surviving family include his daughter, Jessie Jackson of Norman; five sisters, Willeane Morgan, Virginia Jackson, Shirley Thompson, Vidella Whitaker, and Karen Avery; four brothers, Mack Stevenson and his wife, Liz, Macey Stevenson, Jerry Jackson, and James A. Stevenson; and special friend, Emma Richardson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance. Interment will be at Bethlehem Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
