Dorothy Louise Bradley


Dorothy Bradley, age 71, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011, following a courageous battle against cancer.

She was born on June 29, 1939 in Pauls Valley, OK, to James Vernon Bradley and Mattie Jackson Bradley.

She attended Dunbar Grade School and graduated Paul Valley High School in Pauls Valley, OK.

Her love for family and friends was abundant. Dorothy was known for her tremendous spirit and amazing memory. She lived in Pauls Valley and Ardmore, Oklahoma. In 1985, Dorothy moved to Chickasha and cared for her beloved daughter, Robin.

Dorothy was a devoted member of the Jehovah's Witness. In October 1989, she rededicated her life to Christ.

Dorothy is survived by two sisters, Norma Jean Evans, Detroit, MI and Betty Broussard, Chickasha, OK and one aunt, Mrs. Willie Mae Stevenson of Pauls Valley, OK. She is further survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her only daughter Robin Janelle and the following siblings: five sisters, Margie Buckner, Lucille Bradley, Edna Jones, Kathleen Bradley, Laverne McCarther, and her only brother, James Vernon Bradley.

Graveside services for Dorothy L. Bradley will be held at 10a.m., Friday, June 24, 2011, at Bethlehem Cemetery, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, under the direction of Brown/Christian Funeral Home, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

The family would like to thank everyone for their love, help and support.
