Darlis Lillian [Brown] Jensen
May 21, 1918 ~ March 26, 2011


Born: May 21, 1918 near Purdy, Oklahoma to John Calvin and Treasure Mozella McDaniels Brown. Died: March 26, 2011 at the Norman Regional Hospital Age: 92

Darlis Jensen has been a lifetime resident of this area. One of 11 children, she attended school at Purdy and was a certified Nurse's aide working for McCaskill's Nursing Home for over 20 years.

She married George Jensen in 1933 and the family lived in the Hughes/Wallville area. Darlis later moved to Lindsay after her husband passed away.

She was a faithful woman all of her life attending Church at Wallville and Eastside Holiness Church in Maysville. Darlis read her Bible through every year and was a great prayer warrior. She was kind, generous, and loving and always wanted everyone to have something to eat at her home.

One of her little pleasures was an occasional Dr. Pepper from Sonic.

Survivors: her children: Wanda Lane of Moore; Betty Wallace of Lindsay; W.F. "Dub" Jensen of Noble; and Barbara Lee of Sallisaw, Oklahoma. 1 Sister: Zelma Perry of Plainview, Texas. 14 Grandchildren, 35 Great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. And a great number of other relatives and many friends made throughout the years.

Darlis is preceded in death by her husband, George in 1984; a daughter, Doris Faye; a son, Jessie Jensen; and a granddaughter, Brenda. Also by brothers and sisters: Bud, Jewel, Duke, Ed, Lawrence, Johnny, Minnie Mae, Elsie; and by a great-great-granddaughter, Sadee.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at 2:00 pm., at the Eastside Holiness Church with Rev. Steve Mayhan and Rev. John Hornbeck officiating with burial in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.winansfuneralhome.com.

Martha Aileene [Driskill] Jensen
February 28, 1923 ~ November 26, 2016


Martha Aileene Jensen, 93 of Lindsay, was born on February 28, 1923 in Pernell, Oklahoma to Robert Driskill and Zady [Turner] Driskill. She passed away on November 26, 2016 at her home.

Aileene was a lifetime resident of this area where she attended school at Maysville and then in 1975 obtained a GED.

She married O. W. “Ott” Jensen on September 29, 1940.

She worked at the Pauls Valley General Hospital and cooked at McCaskill’s Nursing Home, but mostly worked as a homemaker and worked along side of her husband on their farm. She loved taking care of her family and teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook.

Aileene enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting, sewing, Search Word books, cooking, and quilting. She made every grandchild and great grandchild a quilt of their own and her cherry jelly was the best Christmas gift you could receive.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lindsay.

Aileene will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Her survivors include her daughters, Sue Hutson and Carolyn Lewis both of Lindsay. Sister, Dolly Adams of Lindsay. Brothers-in-law, Cletus Quinn and Donald Bray. Grandchildren: David and Delora Lister, Pepper and Carl Austin, Allen and Marina Lister, Sonya and Steve James, and Glen and Kim Hutson. Great grandchildren: Kyle and Callie Lister, Kayla and Brandon Redd, David Austin, Presley Austin, Chance Austin, Veronika Walters, Brooklyn Hutson, Bridgette Hutson, and Chad Hutson. And a host of other relatives.

Aileene was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zady Driskill; her husband O.W. Jensen; brothers, Odie Keltner, Tommy Keltner, Major Driskill, and Vernon Driskill; and sisters, Cora Stewart, Bessie Bray, Tressie Bradshaw, and Margie Belt.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Lindsay with Rev. Randy Allen officiating.

Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery under the direction of John W. Williams of Winans Funeral Home, Maysville, OK.

W. F. "Dub" Jensen
September 16, 1948 ~ February 21, 2017


W.F. "Dub" Jensen, age 73 of Noble, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Norman.

W.F. Jackson Jensen was born September 16, 1943 in Wallville, Oklahoma, 1 of 6 children born to George Jackson Jensen and Darlis Lillian [Brown] Jensen.

He was raised in the Hughes Community and attended Hughes schools, graduating High School in 1961.

After school, Dub answered the call for his country, and joined the United States Air Force.

He married Phyllis Ann Weatherford on March 7, 1965 at the Hughes Baptist Church. Together they raised 3 children, son, Monte and daughters, Samantha and Trinity.

His love for country led him into a distinguished career spanning more than 21 years in the Air Force. He was a proud patriot and served his country honorably, retiring as MSGT in 1983.

Dub later worked at the Joseph Harp Correctional Facility east of Lexington.

On August 4, 2001, Dub married Linda Kay Tennison and they made their home in Noble. In his younger years, Dub liked to coon hunt, and he fondly recalled of his many adventures hunting. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling, and visited all but Rhode Island and North Dakota of the 50 states.

He enjoyed history and made a point of visiting monuments and museums while on his many trips. He enjoyed art and painting, and made canes for those who might need one.

His love of country and his service, inspired his son, and many of his grandsons to follow in his footsteps and serve their country. But his greatest influence and gift to his family would be his love for God. Dub was a man of great faith and encouraged his family daily to serve the Lord. He will be greatly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His 1st wife, Phyllis Jensen; Parents, George and Darlis Jensen; Sister, Doris Faye Jensen, Brother, Jessie Jensen, and Son-in-law, Bill Robb.

Dub leaves behind: His wife, Linda Jensen of the home; Daughters, Samantha Robb of Maysville and Trinity Jones and husband Jerimiah of Maysville; Son, Monty Jensen and wife Mistie of Lexington; Step Children, Stacy Harrison and husband Doug of Moore, Steve Tennison and wife Kelly of Noble and Bryan Tennison and wife Amy of Noble; 3 sisters, Wanda Lane of Moore, Barbara Lee and husband Herbert of Sallisaw, Betty Wallace and husband Charles of Lindasy; Sister-in-law, Barbara Jensen of Maysville; 21 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; And a host of other family and friends.
