Funeral services for Mrs. John (Anna) Ukena, 82, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. A. Meitler officiating.

Burial will be in the Lutheran Cemetery at Lahoma under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ukena was born in Kansas and was married to John Ukena at Hamilton, Illinois, November 17, 1908. They moved to Oklahoma about 1909 and farmed near Lahoma for a number of years before moving to Enid about 1924.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband John of the home at 1805 E. Broadway; a daughter, Mrs. W. R. (Clara) Driever, Durango, Colorado; a son, Edwin J. Ukena, Enid; seven grandchildren and 21 great – grandchildren.

Funeral services for John C. Ukena, 89, 1805 E. Broadway, will be at 2 PM, Monday in the St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. A. Meitler officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma, under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Ukena died Thursday afternoon as a result of complications following a fall at his home one week ago.

He was born November 19, 1881, in Hamel, Illinois, near Edwardsville, Illinois. He married Anna Marie Stigge on November 17, 1907. He farmed for a short while in Illinois before moving to Newkirk and later to Lahoma where he farmed for several years before moving to Enid some 50 years ago. He worked at the Alton Mercantile Company for a period and later at the city water works. Mr. and Mrs. Ukena had been married for 62 1/2 years at the time of her death in June, 1970. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1957.

Ukena was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

His survivors are one daughter, Mrs. W. H. (Clara) Driever, Durango, Colorado; one son, Edwin J., 1814 E. Oak; several grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Dora Schmidt, Green, Kansas; and one brother, Herman, Enid.
