Zion Lutheran Cemetery


Funeral service for George H. Renken, 73, Lahoma, who died Friday afternoon in a local hospital after a short illness, will be at 2 PM Monday in the Zion Lutheran Church at Lahoma.

The Rev. Theodore P. Werfelmann will officiate and burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

Those who wish may contribute to the Zion Lutheran Church, where Renken was a member, in his memory.

He was born January 4, 1903, in Alcester, South Dakota, and came with his family to the Lahoma area in 1904. He lived in the Covington – Douglas area from 1912 to 1920 and had made his home on a farm northwest of Lahoma since 1920.

Survivors include three brothers, Hank of Oklahoma City, Elmer of Wichita, Kansas, and Harold of Lahoma; a sister, Mrs. Norman (Marie) Schroeder of Kansas.
