HENRY RATHJEN DEAD
Henry Rathjen, who resided on the old Lee Shultz farm southeast of town, died Monday morning about eleven o'clock, following an illness of about ten days with influenza and complications.
Mr. Rathjen was about 22 years old and leaves a young widow, having only been married about a year.
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Rathjen, Sr., and grew to manhood in this community.

Henry Fritz Rathjen was born near Garrison, Nebraska, May 2, 1899, and died near Lahoma, Oklahoma, September 12, 1921, aged 22 years 4 months and 10 days.
In 1901 he came with his parents to their present home near Lahoma and here grew to young manhood. He was married in August 1920, to Miss Artie Swartz of near Lahoma. Besides the young widow he leaves to mourn his untimely departure from life, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Christ Rathjen, Sr.; four sisters, Mrs. Ed. Brakhage and the Misses Lydia, Anna and Marie Rathjen; five brothers, Christ Rathjen, Jr.; D.H. Rathjen; Paul, John and Harmon Rathjen, all of whom reside near Lahoma.
The funeral services, which were attended by a large gathering of relatives and friends, were held at the Lutheran church in Lahoma, on Thursday, September 15th at 2 o'clock p.m., Rev. Ph. Roesel delivering the funeral oration. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery north of town.
