Zion Lutheran Cemetery

Funeral service for Carol Rae Krueger will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Lahoma Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Eric Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Lahoma. Service is under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Carol was born July 26, 1935, in Enid to Leslie and Louise (Dittner) Pekrul and passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, in Enid.

Growing up, Carol enjoyed hanging out with cousins and visiting her grandparents at the Dittner farm. In 1953, she graduated from Goltry High School.

On April 4, 1954, Carol married Edward Lee Krueger at First Congregational Church of Goltry. They lived west of Lahoma, where she and her husband farmed all of their married life. Carol continued to farm after Edward died on March 7, 2007, until her passing.

Carol worked at Community Bank and Security Bank of Enid. She was a Sunday school teacher at Lahoma Zion Lutheran Church, as well as a substitute teacher at Lahoma Schools. Carol then worked as a quality assurance representative at Youth and Family Services in Enid for 15 years.

Being a grandma was Carol’s biggest pride and joy. She thoroughly enjoyed her grandkids, who named her Mamo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Edward.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Kay Davidson and husband Johnny and Dr. Kristy Krueger-Krisle and husband Mike, all of Lahoma; four grandchildren, twins, Suzanna Davidson and Rebecca Davidson and Weston Henneke and Maverick Henneke.

Memorials can be given through the funeral home to Zion Lutheran Church, Lahoma.
