Zion Lutheran Cemetery


Lahoma – The funeral for Raymond A. Ahsmuhs, 82, will be at 10 AM Saturday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Lahoma. The Rev. Velmer or Goebel will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery under direction of Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home, Enid.

The casket will be open until service time.

He was born December 8, 1911, in Lahoma to Walter and Sadie Siewert Ahsmuhs and died Wednesday, June 22, 1994, at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital, Enid.

He was baptized February 4, 1912, and confirmed May 16, 1926, in the Zion Lutheran Church where he was a lifelong member. He attended Lahoma schools.

On July 10, 1938, he married Rebecca Brakhage at Lahoma. They moved to Helena where he farmed. The family returned to Lahoma in 1945 where he continued to farm. He was employed by Singer Metal in Enid for 26 years.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Ron of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Iona Lichtenberg of Enid; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Lutheran Hour. Fred Brandhorst died at his home north of town early Monday morning, after an illness of twenty-four hours.
