Edgar (Eddie) Robert Hammons II

July 22, 1998 - November 9, 2020

Services will be at the Hunter United Methodist Church 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. Interment to follow at White Cemetery. Visitation will be at Wilson Funeral Home 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12.

Edgar "Eddie" Robert Hammons II was born in the Lake Texhoma area on July 22, 1998 to Courtney Snodgrass (Hammons) and Joseph Snodgrass. Eddie passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 at his home in Enid, Oklahoma at the age of 22.

Survived by his wife Chloe Hammons and son Edgar Lee Hammons III of Enid, Oklahoma; Parents Courtney and Joe Snodgrass in Hunter, Oklahoma; Brothers, Sam Page, Nate Snodgrass, Nic Snodgrass, Zach Snodgrass of Enid, Oklahoma, sister Kilynn Hammons and brother Peyton Snodgrass of Hunter Oklahoma; His nana Kelly Townley of Shawnee, Oklahoma; Grandmother Diane Pacula of Hunter, Oklahoma; Grandfathers Charles Townley of Enid, Oklahoma, Roy Snodgrass of Hunter, Oklahoma and David Moore of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Great-grandfather William Hammons of Cyril, Oklahoma; Great-grandparents Charles and Peggy Townley of Cyril, Oklahoma and numerous family and friends.

Growing up Eddie loved to play football. You always knew when Eddie was on the field and when the game was going to start because his voice could be heard above the crowd as they ran across the field. He loved bonfires with his friends, riding dirt roads, and fishin' the Hunter Pond. Eddie as a kid and as an adult always was obsessed with food, cats, and playing Xbox till late into the morning. Eddie had an extreme love for his friends, family, and will be missed greatly.

Eddie was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Dorothy Hammons of Cyril, Oklahoma; Grandfather Raymond Pacula of Hunter, Oklahoma; Great Aunt Jenny Winsor of Cyril, Oklahoma; Great-grandfather Ulman Chism of Hunter, Oklahoma; Great Uncle Raymond Chism of Hunter, Oklahoma.

Services were held at the Hunter United Methodist Church Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 3 PM officiated by Rev. Delbert McCurley. Interment followed at White Cemetery. Memorials may be made to White Cemetery Association of Hunter. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Oklahoma.
