DOUGLAS — Funeral service for Bonnie S. Winchester, 71-year-old Douglas resident, will be 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery.

Bonnie was born April 17, 1940, in Driftwood, Okla., to Leonard Jantz and Geraldine (Routh) Jantz and died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011.

She attended school in Ringwood and graduated from Lahoma High School. She then attended Enid Business College.

On Nov. 12, 1960, she married Roy Dean Winchester in Lahoma. The couple made their first home and farmed south of Lahoma. Later they moved and farmed in the Douglas area.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont. She was a member of Pioneer Wheathearts, Lutheran Womens’ Missionary League and Master Gardener’s Club, Oklahoma City and Garfield County chapters, in which she held numerous positions. She enjoyed fishing and gardening.

She is survived by her daughter, Twilla Walton and husband John of Dallas, Texas; son, Keith Winchester of Douglas; grandchildren, Jared and Kelly Walton of Dallas; sister, Connie Walton and husband Bill of El Dorado, Kan.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, and her parents.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to OMRF, heart division.
