Lowell VanDeventer Funeral Pending

Lowell Travis VanDeventer, 70, died in a local hospital early Monday after a brief illness.

He was born in Union Star, Missouri, and was a retired farmer who made his home at 1015 S. Independence. VanDeventer came to Kingfisher with his parents in 1892 from Union Star, Missouri. They moved to Waukomis in 1893 where they staked a claim. He moved to Enid in 1944 and lived here since.

He was a member of the Christian church at Waukomis.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Mae VanDeventer, of the home; and Mrs. Fannie Grapes, Enid.

Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of Darnall Funeral Home.
