Funeral service for “Jerry” Valtr, 76, of Bison, will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brian Meyer officiating, with burial in Waukomis Cemetery. Jerry was born April 6, 1936, on the family farm that would eventually become his. Lidmill James Valtr and Edna Flora Schultz were proud parents of their sixth child.

He was raised on the family farm, graduating from Pioneer High School in 1955, and then served in the U.S. Army. Jerry married Peggy Reeves April 6, 1968. Jerry farmed and worked for Hackney Iron & Steel, Garfield County, had his own business doing dirt work for area farmers and oil field companies.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of the home; sons, Stephen Valtr and wife Shonna of Enid, and David Valtr and wife Kristi of Douglas; daughters, Theresa Valtr of Waukomis, and Kari Valtr of Bison; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers

A Memorial Service for Peggy Valtr, age 74, of Bison, will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 12, 2016, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel.

Peggy was born to Coiley and Wandalene (Baker) Reeves on April 2, 1942, in Malden, Missouri, and passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016, in Enid.

Peggy graduated from Malden High School. On April 6, 1968, she married Jerome Valtr in Enid. She was a farmer’s wife, devoted mother, grandmother, and enjoyed cooking and sewing. Peggy was a crop insurance adjuster for 28 years.

She is survived by her children: Stephen Valtr and wife Shonna, of Enid, Theresa Valtr of Waukomis, David Valtr and wife Kristi of Douglas, and Kari Valtr of Bison; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great, great-grandchild; two brothers, Donnie Reeves of Missouri, and Ed Reeves of Alabama; two sisters, Ramona Isbell of Texas, and Marilyn Loomis of Florida.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and husband Jerome.
