Waukomis Cemetery


Joy Elizabeth Underwood, eight – months – old daughter of Peggy Underwood, Oklahoma City, died early Tuesday in an Oklahoma City hospital after a brief illness.

A memorial funeral service will be at 10 AM Thursday in the Ridgecrest Methodist Church in Oklahoma City with the Rev. James Williamson officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 PM Thursday in the Waukomis Cemetery, under the direction of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.

The baby was born February 3, in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved with her mother to Oklahoma City in April.

Survivors are the mother Peggy of the home in Oklahoma City; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Underwood of Waukomis and other relatives.

The body will lie in state in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home from noon today until noon Thursday.
