SAM ROBINSON, OLD TIMER, DIED SATURDAY MORNING
Sam K. Robinson, 71, pioneer resident of the community East of Waukomis died at the family home early Saturday morning after an illness of several weeks.
He made the run into the Cherokee Strip in 1893 and resided on the home place since that time.
Surviving his are his wife of the home; two sons, William and Homer of Covington, Okla.; two daughters, Mrs. Orlo Dick of Fairmont and Mrs. Lyle Crist of Wichita, Kan. He leaves 14 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. D. S. Sanford of Milledgeville, Ga.
No funeral arrangments have been made, pending a return of normal road conditions.

Samuel Kendrick Robinson was born Jan 10, 1869 in St. Louis, Mo and died Feb. 17, 1940 at his home East of Waukomis. He was three years old when the family moved to the state of Illinois and then to Kansas where he met and married Ollie Pegley, who preceded him in death. To this union was born two children, Eva who died in infancy and Lois Crist, now residing at Wichita, Kan.
At the opening of the Cherokee Strip he moved to Okla, where he met and married Lena Wiler on April 8, 1900. They reared four children, Myrtle, Jack, William and Homer.

He was left fatherless at the age of nine years, but he was a good, kind and loving father.

One son, Jack and one grandson, Dwight Dick preceded him in death in the year 1936.

Funeral services for Mr. Robinson were held Monday afternoon at the Christian Church in Waukomis. Burial was made in the Waukomis Cemetery.
