October 25, 1935 - January 05, 2021

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Paul Lindall Roberts, 85, of Enid, will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday January 13, 2021 in the Waukomis Christian Church, with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Paul was born October 25, 1935, to Alva and Edna (Rhodes) Roberts in Corona, New Mexico, and passed from this life January 5, 2021, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He was raised and educated in Hoffman, Oklahoma. After high school he married Theodoshia Johns in Helena December 1953, and from that union came eight children. The couple made their home in Enid. He worked as a Long Haul Truck Driver. He moved to Waukomis in the early 80’s where he owned and operated Paul’s Dozer Service, Paul’s Café and Renegade Enterprises. He moved to California in 1986 and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He returned to Enid in 2009 to be near family. During his retirement he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking, and spending time doing anything outdoors. He loved spending time with family and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by five daughters, Sherry Copeland, Ramona Newton, Betty Roberts, Pauletta Roberts, all of Enid, Tina and husband LeRoy Colwell, of Long Island, New York; one son-in-law, Marvin Campbell; one stepdaughter, Diane Nixon, of California; his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Roberts, of California, and Jewell Roberts Callaway, of Louisiana.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Chris and David Roberts; one daughter, Alberta Campbell; two brothers, Bruce and Dennis Roberts; one stepson, Michael Brooks; one grandson, Jeremy Roberts; and one great-grandson, Easton Campbell.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be given to the OMRF Macular Degeneration fund with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
