Waukomis Cemetery



Funeral services for Sam K. Roads, 78, will be Tuesday, 2 PM in the Waukomis Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom F. Pace officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Home.

Roads, a longtime Waukomis resident, died in an Enid hospital April 21.

He was born in Rainsbow, Ohio, and settled near Waukomis with his parents in 1900 and moved to Waukomis in 1914. He worked for Jung Motor Company for a number of years and farmed until his retirement.

He was a member of the Waukomis Methodist Church, Waukomis Lions Club, the American Legion Argonne Post No. 4 and was a veteran of World War I.

His family has requested that those who wish may make memorial donations to the Waukomis Methodist Church building fund with the church acting as custodian of the fund.

Roads is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Clara Taylor, Oklahoma City, and Miss Dee Roads, Waukomis, and a host of nieces and nephews. His wife preceded him in death in 1960.
