Arvella Marie Riesen
Enid, OK — The funeral service for Arvella Marie Riesen, 71, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 1, 2008, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev Paul Hass will officiate. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will be 4:30 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Arvella was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Okarche, OK to August and Emilie (Krey) Kremeier and died Sunday, April 27, 2008 in Enid. Arvella was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ralph, August and Robert Victor.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran School or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
On March 19, 1971 she married John D Riesen at St. Paul’s Lutheran, Enid, OK.

Arvella was an educator. She taught one year in Houston, TX, 16 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran School, and 13 years at Pioneer Pleasant Vale Elementary. She was a bus driver and also participated in fast-pitch softball. She was a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher. She enjoyed watching the young take part in sports activities. She was loved by her students.
Arvella was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Ralph, August and Robert Victor. Memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s Lutheran School or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
