Waukomis Cemetery


WAUKOMIS, OK — Funeral service for Teddie “Ted” L. Priest, age 76 of Waukomis, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at Ladusau-Evans Chapel with the Rev. Marten Spena officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ted was born Oct. 6, 1937, in Elmore City to Elmer and Alice Pickens Priest and passed away Feb. 5, 2014, in St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Ted grew up and attended school in Elmore City. He married Polly Davis Jan. 13, 1962, in Gainesville, Texas. He moved to Waukomis in 1975.

Ted was the owner of Northwest Food Equipment. Ted enjoyed his OU Sooners, bowling, dominos, Rook, card games, deer hunting and his family was the most important thing to him.

Ted is survived by his wife, Polly, of the home, sons, Tim and his wife, Kathi of Waukomis, Ted and wife, Ann of Potomac Falls, Va., Mike and wife, Jill of Edmond, daughter, Shelly and husband, Ravin Gunter of Waukomis, eight grandchildren, and three great- grandchildren, three sisters, Waunice Turner of Tulsa, Wanette Jones of Ragley, La., and Sue Clem of Yukon, Okla. and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Anthony and sister, Eunice.

Memorials may be made to the Waukomis Volunteer Fire Department. Condolences may be made online at www.ladusauevans.com.
