Waukomis Cemetery


February 24, 1932 - February 25, 2019

The Mass of Christian Burial celebrating and honoring the life of Willa D. Moravec, 87, of Waukomis will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday March 1, 2019 in the St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Reverend Father Edward T. Menasco officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born February 24, 1932 on a farm west of Waukomis, Oklahoma to William and Mary Troska Hromas and passed from this life on February 25, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Waukomis, where she graduated from High School. On August 16, 1951 she married the love of her life, Ernest Moravec, in Enid. She worked at the Waukomis Co-op for more than forty years, retiring in 2005. She loved working in the yard and loved her flowers. She was a very good cook and was always known for making incredible family dinners. Most of all she loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Ron Moravec, and wife Tina, of Waukomis, OK., daughters, Darla Lewis, and husband Jerry, of Wichita, KS., and Arlene Windler, and husband Richard, of Wichita, KS., seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Ernest Moravec.

Memorials in her name may be made to Ross Hospice or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
