Waukomis Cemetery


January 19, 1989 - August 25, 2984

Roy A. Money, 85, a former resident of Enid, died Saturday, August 25, 1984, in an Oklahoma City hospital. The funeral will be at 10 AM Tuesday in Metropolitan Baptist Church, 7201 Britton Rd., Oklahoma City, with Doctor David C. Cotten officiating.

Burial and graveside services will be at 12:30 PM Tuesday in the Waukomis Cemetery with Guardian West Funeral Home of Oklahoma City in charge.

Money was born January 19, 1899, in Holyoke, Colorado, and moved with the family to a farm west of Waukomis. On December 10, 1919, he and Martha Frances Brooks were married. The couple lived in Enid a short time where he worked for Pillsbury Mills. They later moved to Waukomis where he was service manager for The Money Chevrolet Company.

In 1942, the family moved to Oklahoma City where he worked as supervisor in the automotive department at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring in 1970.

Survivors include his wife, Martha; two daughters, Betty Wyckoff Gary, Oklahoma City, and Maxine Anderson, Racine, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren; seven great – grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Money, Howard, Colorado; and three sisters, Vera Brown and Marie Bronn, both of California, and Fern Wood, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Memorials in his name may be made to Metropolitan Baptist Church, Library Fund.
