October 14, 1942 - March 07, 2019

The funeral service for Thomas "Tom" Clark Metz, 76 year-old Enid resident, will be 1:00PM Thursday, March 14, 2019 in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverend Terry Chick officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery. There will be a visitation Wednesday evening, March 13, 2019 from 5PM-7PM at the funeral home.

Tom was born October 14, 1942 in Enid to Charles and Julia (Leeper) Metz of Drummond and died Thursday, March 7, 2019 in Greenbrier Nursing Home, surrounded by his family. He attended Drummond schools and graduated with the class of 1960. On February 2, 1962, he married Delores Morphew in Hennessey, where the couple lived until moving to Wakoumis for 27 years before settling in Enid in 1991.

Thomas was a shop foreman and welder in the petroleum industry for many years. He attended Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He also liked riding his motorcycle. He loved tinkering on projects in his shop.

Tom is survived by his brother, Terry Metz and wife, Susan of Drummond; niece, Kelly Shaw; nephews, Billy Joe and Bobby Wegener; special friend, Mary Hight as well as other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Delores; sister, Mary Philbrick; niece, Becky Boone and nephew, Rob Metz.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson Funeral home to either Hospice Circle of Love or Waukomis Cemetery Fund.
