Waukomis Cemetery


The funeral for R. Gabriel "Gabe" Martinez age 19 of Waukomis who died in an automobile accident in Salina, KS., Friday will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Waukomis High School Gymnasium, with Rev. Nan Rowe and Rev. Clarence Glaze officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau -Evans Funeral Home.

The beloved son of Reinaldo and Nancy Charlene Martinez was born May 14, 1974 in Ft. Smith ARK. He attended Waukomis Schools where he was the quarterback for the football team.

He was an All-Stater in football, All State Honorable Mention in Basketball, Outstanding Offensive Back at the All-State Games. He was also chosen Who's Who of United States of American High School Students.

He graduated in 1992. He was attending Southwestern State University in Weatherford OK.

He is survived by : father, Reinaldo Martinez; mother, Nancy Martinez of Waukomis; daughter, Jordan Elizabeth Isbell, Weatherford; four brothers, Reinaldo T. Martinez ll; Eric Martinez; Bryann Martinez; Derek Martinez of Waukomis; maternal grandparents, John and Janet Nipper, Oklahoma City; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Christine Martinez, Enid; maternal great grandparents, Sam and Alice Duncan, Duncan; paternal great grandmother, Avelina R. Martinez, Enid ; special friend, Amy Isbell, Weatherford; several aunts, uncles, cousins and host of friends.

Memorials may be made to set up a Jordan Elizabeth Isbell with Ladusau -Evans Funeral Home accepting the memorials.
