Waukomis Cemetery


Memorial service for Edna Pearl Krippes Lang will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Donaldson officiating. Burial will precede the service at 9 A.M. in Waukomis Cemetery.

Edna was born Jan. 26, 1918 on the family farm near Pioneer School to William and Jenny (LeGrand) Krippes, and died on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the age of 97 surrounded by family. Edna graduated from Pioneer High School in 1937. On July 6, 1937 she married Art Lang in Kingfisher and to this union four children were born. They farmed and ranched in the Pioneer community until retiring and moving to Enid in September 1973. She was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church and the Jr. Farmerette HCE Club. Edna loved her family and spent time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Edna is survived by her daughter Pat Blaser of Garber; son Bill Lang and wife Rita of Fairmont; daughter in law Jovita Lang of Enid; grandchildren Janet and David Thompson, Lisa Eden, Tim and Cindy Lang, Todd and Joanne Lang, Brent and Laura Lang, Mandy and Clay Bartels; great grandchildren Carley, Stoney, Jack, Katy, Michael, Carrie, Tyler, Kira, Kyley, Ethan, Sadie, Seth, and Mattie; and her beloved cat Miss Kitty.

She was preceded in death by husband Art, infant daughter Betty, son Joe Lang, and son in law Jim Blaser.

A special thank you to her wonderful caretakers; Naomi, Pat, Nancy, Jeannie, Stephani, Chrystal, and Rita.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love, Bethlehem Baptist Church, or Collette Cemetery.
