The funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Robert Edward Lambert Jr. of Enid will be held 3 p.m. today, April 20, 2015, in Waukomis Cemetery with Pastor Robert Stephenson of Graceway Baptist Church officiating. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Houston, Texas, to Robert E. Sr. and Laura “Story” Lambert and passed from this life April 18, 2015, at his home.

He was raised and educated in Houston Texas, graduating from Reagan High school in 1950. He worked in retail sales.

He married Dorothy Hillyer Nov. 8, 1952, in Sterling, Colo.

He moved to Enid in 1996 and continued to work in retail sales until his retirement in 2003.

He enjoyed cigars, Coca-Cola, movies and photography, but most of all, his family.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of the home; sons, William Lambert of Springfield Mo., Michael Lambert and wife Tina of Harvard Neb.; daughter Rhonda Long and husband Don of Springfield Mo.; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Royce Ann and half-sister Dorothy M. Cobb.

Memorials may be made in his name to the donor’s choice with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
