Ruth Ann Landwehr
November 20, 1947 - January 7, 2024

Celebration of Life Service for Ruth Ann (Talbott) Landwehr, 76, will be Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:00 am at the Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tommy Donaldson officiating. Graveside burial will follow at Waukomis Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held 3-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 14 at the funeral home.

Ruth Ann was born November 20, 1947 in Enid, Oklahoma to Orville and Thelma (Smith) Talbott and passed away January 7, 2024. She grew up east of Waukomis and attended Pleasant Vale and Pioneer schools where she played basketball and exhibited sheep. After graduating in 1966, she continued her education at Enid Business College. Upon completion, she worked for Champlin Oil & Refinery and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with her parents. Later, she married Merlin Landwehr and from this union came two children, Matthew and Rochelle. Ruth Ann took her favorite career, being a mother, very seriously. Ruth Ann and Merlin farmed west of Enid. In addition to being a mother and farm wife, she also enjoyed working part time as a day care teacher and at the Enid Hallmark stores. Through Matt and Rochelle's years in 4-H, Ruth Ann served as the Chisholm 4-H leader and Garfield County 4-H PLO leader. After her family was grown, she worked at the Garfield County Extension office for 20 plus years, where she made lifelong friends and continued to enjoy working with the youth of Garfield County.

Ruth Ann is survived by son Matt and wife Angela of Enid, daughter Rochelle and husband Warren of Waukomis, two grandsons, McCoy Landwehr and Wyatt Wheeler, one granddaughter Rozlyn Wheeler, and sister-in-law (best friend) Lamoine Talbott of Enid, plus many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband Merlin, brother Jim Talbott, and parents Orville and Thelma Talbott. Memorials made be through the funeral home to Bethlehem Baptist Church or Pioneer-Pleasant Vale Academic Foundation.
