Waukomis Cemetery

A Celebration of Life for Lorene June Isbell, 93, Enid, is 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016, at the Waukomis Cemetery, with Mr. Vernon Racer officiating.

Mrs. Isbell was born June 10, 1923, in Enid, the daughter of Frank and Ella Urban Semrad, and passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016. She attended Prairie View and Waukomis schools, except for the three years the family spent in Louisiana when Lorene was a child. She was united in marriage to D.T. (Tom) Isbell August 30, 1943, in Enid, and he preceded her in death in 1983. Lorene was a loving homemaker and enjoyed fishing, gardening, growing flowers and most of all she cherished her family. She also baked the best pecan pie.

Survivors include her sister, Lynnette (Dean) Hedges, of Enid; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Frank; a daughter, Sandra Sue; and a brother, LaVerne Semrad.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Enid Senior Care and Hospice Circle of Love for their kindness and professional care for Lorene and her family.

"Auntie" will be greatly missed by all.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Vale Community Church, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Online condolences may be made and the service viewed at www.LadusauEvans.com.
