Waukomis Cemetery


Waukomis – services for Jon Isbell, 52, will be 2 PM Monday, December 7, 1992, in Waukomis Christian Church with the Rev. Paul Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2270 of Enid.

Isbell died Friday, December 4, 1992, at his home in Waukomis.

He was born February 28, 1940, in Enid to Dea and Dorothy (Mylar) Isbell. He was raised and educated in Waukomis. He graduated from Waukomis High School in 1958 and Phillips University in 1974 where he received a degree in business administration. He worked for the Federal Land Bank from 1971 to 1980 and was a farmer most of his life. He was a member of Waukomis Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of Waukomis; a daughter, Christine Ford of Oklahoma City; two sons, Brandon Isbell of Marshall, Missouri, and Justin Isbell of Waukomis; his mother; two brothers, Lonie Isbell and Scott Isbell, both of Waukomis; two nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials may be made to the Garfield County Hospice Circle of Love with Brown Funeral Home acting as guardian.
