Frieda Mae ISBELL

Waukomis Cemetery


ENID, Okla. — A private family graveside service for Frieda Mae Isbell, 57, of Oklahoma City, was held in Waukomis Cemetery. The Rev. David Jones officiated under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 13, 1957, to Bill and Barbara “Woodward” Isbell in Enid, Okla., and passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Oklahoma City.

She grew up in Waukomis, and while in high school worked at Enid Memorial Hospital, where she began her career path in health care. She graduated from Waukomis High School in 1975. She attended the University of Oklahoma. She received a bachelor of science degree in May 1993 from the University of Central Oklahoma.

She was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital, working in all aspects of nursing. She then worked for the Oklahoma Health Department in Oklahoma City as a nursing home inspector and recently retired.

She loved flowers and kitty cats. She always enjoyed antique shopping and reading lots of books. She was always loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Barbara; brothers, Jim and wife Mary Ann, Patrick, and Mike and wife Mary Lynn; nieces, Holly, Carri, Kayla and Eryn; nephews, Andrew and Evan; and great-nephew, Eli.

She was preceded by her father, Bill, and sister, Katrina.

Memorials may be made in her name to the memorial of donor’s choice with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
