Waukomis Cemetery


The funeral for Laura Lou Hromas, 75, of Enid, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at Waukomis Christian Church. The Rev. David Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery . Arrangements are by Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Goltry to Herbert and Oleeva Shorter Dittner and died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Greenbrier Nursing Home.

She graduated from Goltry High School.

She married Ernie Hromas and they lived on the family farm southwest of Waukomis .

She upholstered furniture, was a seamstress and volunteered at Vance Air Force Base Thrift Store for many years.

She was a member of Waukomis Christian Church and Oklahoma Polka Club.

Surviving are one granddaughter, Rhonda Steve-son, and her companion, Russell Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie, one son and one infant daughter.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Waukomis Christian Church or Oklahoma Medi-cal Research Foundation, Alzheimer's division.
