Waukomis Cemetery


Wake service for Mrs. Anna B. Hromas, 79, Waukomis, who died Friday evening in a local hospital, will be at 7:30 PM Sunday at Brown Funeral Home Chapel with Father James G. Zaumeyer officiating.

Funeral services will be at 10 AM Monday also in the Brown Funeral Home Chapel with burial to be in the Waukomis Cemetery.

Mrs. Hromas was born in Weston, Nebraska, and attended school at Helena, Nebraska. The former Anna Petrzilka married Anton Joseph Hromass September 27, 1911, at Wahoo, Nebraska.

Coming to Oklahoma after their marriage, they settled on a farm northwest of Waukomis and had lived in that community since. Her husband died October 1, 1967, and she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a granddaughter, a brother and a sister.

Contributions may be made in her memory to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.

Survivors include a son, Leon J Hromas, Waukomis; three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Helen) Simunek and Mrs. Bill (Leona) Lohse, both of Covington, and Mrs. Leon (Blanche) Semrad, Bison; 10 grandchildren, 11 great – grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Bruner and Mrs. Jerry Liska, both of David City, Nebraska; six brothers, Joe Petrzilka and Frank Petrzilka, both of David city; Charles Petrzilka, Dwight, Nebraska, Jim Petrzilka, Lahoma, Nebraska, Leonard Petrzilka, Valparaiso, Nebraska, and Lewis Petrzilka.
