September 20, 1944 - August 24, 2019

The Funeral Services celebrating and honoring the life of John O. Hobson Sr., 74, of Waukomis will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday August 29, 2019 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Waukomis Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

He was born September 20, 1944 in Woodward, Oklahoma to James Harley and Dora Mae (Stewart) Hobson and passed from this life on August 24, 2019 in Waukomis, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

He was raised and educated in Woodward, OK. before moving with his family to Pauls Valley, OK. He then moved to Artisan, New Mexico and then back to Pauls Valley, OK. He finally moved to Waukomis, OK. He enjoyed watching his Westerns and gardening different types of plants and produce. He was always passionate about his job in the trucking business. Most of all he loved his friends and family.

He is survived by his children, Justin Hobson, John Hobson Jr, Jeanne Sweet, Heather Riley, J.W. Hobson, Janet Bruno, Jeff Sweet, Amy Ward, twenty-five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and son Jack Hobson.
