Waukomis Cemetery


Funeral services for Lester Lee Hickey, 47, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at First Baptist Church, Waukomis , with Pastor Danny Marney officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Lester was born Sept. 15, 1961, in Woodward, Okla., the son of Frank and Beverly Anderson Hickey and died early Thursday morning, March 5, 2009, at Highland Park Manor.

He was raised and educated in Woodward, graduating from Woodward High School with the class of 1980. He worked in maintenance.

Lester married Carolyn Strain July 4, 1984, in Waukomis .

Lester is survived by one daughter, Cherlyn Ann Hickey of Waukomis ; one son, Joshua Lee Harrelson; two grandchildren, Leilanie Hickey and Michael Hickey, both of Waukomis ; one brother, Jimmy Martin of Woodward; one sister, Brenda Rit-tenhouse of Waynoka, Okla.

Lester was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather.

Memorials may be made in Lester's memory to First Baptist Church of Waukomis with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
