Bonnie Jo GRATNER
The funeral service for Bonnie Jo Gratner, 73, Waukomis, will be today, Jan. 29, 2007, at 10 a.m. in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Marney, minister of Waukomis Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery under direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born on Oct. 13, 1933, in Waukomis, the daughter of Hugh and Marie Odom Call, and died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

She grew up and attended school in Waukomis until moving to Enid in 1952, where she worked as a housekeeper. Bonnie married Dick Gratner. He preceded her in death in 1979. She then worked for St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in the housekeeping department, retiring in 1996 after 23 years of service. Bonnie is survived by a son, Eddie Garcia; sister, Mary Elizabeth Ferguson of Columbus, Miss.; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Patsy Koch and Betty Ake.

Memorials may be made in Bonnie's memory to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the fund. Condolences may be made to the family online at brown-cummings.com. (Paid obit 1-29-1)
