Aloisie MILACEK FICENEC

Waukomis Cemetery

Aloisie Ficenec
I am reasonably sure that Aloisie’s death occurred in November or December of 1898, based on information contained in the February 2, 1899 edition of the local Wahoo, Nebraska weekly newspaper, the Wahoo Wasp. She, her husband John, and their four small children (Ed, Anna, Agnes, and Emma) came to Waukomis Township in the fall of 1898 from Saunders County , Nebraska , to begin farming. According to the Wahoo newspaper, while the family was on the way, Aloisie suffered a serious fall in Lincoln , Nebraska , and died from internal injuries received in that fall shortly after arriving in Oklahoma . Her husband, John, returned to Saunders County , Nebraska in late March, 1899 with the two oldest children while the two youngest children (Agnes and Emma) remained with John’s brother Frank and his wife Mary who were farming nearby in Berry Township , near Pond Creek , Oklahoma . Anyone with information about the exact day and month of her birth and death, please contact Richard Ficenec.
