Waukomis Cemetery


A Mass of Christian Burial for Edith C. Felber, 87, will be noon Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The Rev. Roberto Quant will officiate. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery. A Rosary will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at Henninger-Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Crescent to Roy and Lillis Prosser Sullivan and died Friday, Nov. 2, 2007, in Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.

She graduated high school at Crescent. She became a licensed practical nurse through the General Hospital nursing program. She worked at General Hospital. She married Michael Felber Sept. 7, 1940. They made their home in Bison, where they farmed and ranched. She provided home health care and later retired from Enid State School. She was a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Bison Altar Society and Bison Friendly Club.

Surviving are one daughter, Mary Grapes of Enid; one son, Bruce Felber of Bison; two brothers, L.M. Sullivan of Edmond and Kenneth Sullivan of Buchanon, Texas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael; four sisters; and one brother.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation through the funeral home.
