Waukomis Cemetery


The graveside service for Jerry Lee Fluman, age 74, of Waukomis , will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Waukomis Cemetery , with Rev. Daniel Bunn officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home and Crematory.

He was born to William J. and Mary Ellen (Hair) Fluman on Dec. 26, 1934, in Bunch Creek Township, Okla., and died Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Enid.

Jerry was adopted by Harold and Gertie Fluman and attended school in Enid. He became a Christian in 1943. At an early age, Jerry worked in the family business, Fluman Body Shop before moving to Port Boliver in south Texas. He was Capt. Jerry on his own shrimp boat. He also worked as a tug boat guide until ill health caused him to move to Waukomis in 1993 to be near his brothers. Jerry was an avid reader and loved to read and study his Bible and share his faith with anyone who would listen.

He is survived by two brothers, Billy Don Fluman and wife Jane of Waukomis , John William Fluman and wife Carolyn of Enid; stepbrother, Gerald Fluman and wife Wilma of Enid; two aunts, Dorothy Fluman and Florence Goucher, both of Enid; and several cousins.
