He came with his parents to Drummond in 1906, where he lived until Sept. 30, 1918, when he, with his friend Harry H. Henneke went to Kansas City to enter Sweeney Auto and Tractor School for the purpose of becoming a more skilful mechanic for service at home or abroad. Attending school only one day, he was taken sick and died of pneumonia in a few days.
His dying testimony was: "Every thing between me and my Jesus is all right. If I should get well again, I certainly would try to live a more consecrated life for Him."
He joined church when a boy, and was a faithful member of the Salem Evangelical church near Drummond. He was a graduate of the Drummond High school in the class of 1916.
He leaves to mourn his departure, father, mother, three brothers, three sisters and many other relatives and friends.

Little Harry Eifert, youngest son of C.J. Eifert and wife died Saturday from the effects of the flu, and was buried Sunday afternoon, funeral services being conducted by Rev. C.F. Mayer, their pastor. Harvey was nearly 7 years of age, but had always been in delicate health. This is the second time, this autumn, that death has entered the Eifert home, and the family have the sincere sympathy of the entire community.
