Waukomis Cemetery



Funeral services for Dennis Dae Elder, 78, Enid resident, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 21, 2022 in the Stittsworth Memory Chapel with Pastor Robert Stewart officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Dennis was born on July 31, 1944 in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Tracy Hugh Elder and Grace Nightengale Elder, and passed away peacefully on October 19, 2022 at his residence.

Dennis married Betty Lou Rhodes on August 5, 1965. They recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Betty of the residence; son, Allen and wife Jackie Elder of Enid; grandson, Johnathan and wife Brittany Elder; great-grandchildren, Brock a nd Belle Elder; sister, Carroll Wedel; brother, Danny and wife Janie Elder; sister in law, JoAnn Baldwin; several nieces, nephews and church family. He loved them all.

Dennis was preceded in passing by his parents, Tracy and Grace Elder, brother, Bob Elder, father and mother-in-law, Bill and Ella Rhodes, sister in laws, Mary, Lola, Carlon; six brother in laws, Harvey, Gene, Johm Billy, Gene, and Bobby, and one nephew.
