Waukomis Cemetery


Funeral service for Mary Ellen (Haight) Dodd will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at Victory Bible Church in Enid, Okla. Pastor Dennis Elder will officiate. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Mary was born Dec. 14, 1944, in Seiling, Okla., to Bill and Ella (Nichols) Rhodes.

She attended area schools in Seiling, later obtaining her GED.

On Aug. 25, 1990, she married Bobby Dodd in Enid, where the couple made their home.

In 2003, the couple moved to Waukomis, Okla.

Mary worked as a laundry attendant for St. Mary’s and Bass hospitals until her retirement.

She was a faithful member of Victory Bible Church for many years. She enjoyed tennis, bowling, camping and fishing. She also loved spending time with her family, and her cats and dogs.

Mary is survived by her husband, Bobby; daughter, Teresa Barker and husband Jerry of Enid; stepson, Bobby Dodd II of Russellville, Ark.; three sisters, Lola Mae Cravens, Betty Elder and husband Dennis, and JoAnn Baldwin and husband James, all of Enid, Okla.; grandchildren, David Barker, Branden, Austin, Aaleiah and Robby Dodd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ella Rhodes; son, Thomas Haight; sister, Carolyn Christy; and brother, Harvey Rhodes.

Memorials may be made in Mary’s name through the funeral home to Victory Bible Church, Enid, SPCA or OMRF.

The funeral for Bobby Lee Dodd is 10 a.m. today, March 17, 2017, at the Victory Bible Church with Pastor Dennis Elder officiating. Burial follows in the Waukomis Cemetery, under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Bobby was born May 23, 1949, to Arthur and Cleo (Walls) Dodd in Tahlequah and passed away March 14, 2017, in Enid. He attended schools in Tahlequah and graduated in 1968. Later that same year, he enlisted into the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam and continued to serve his country until retiring from the Army National Guard. Bobby married Mary Nichols on August 25, 1990, in Enid, later moving to Waukomis where the couple made their home. He worked 18 years for the City of Enid. He was also a correctional officer for the Diamond Back Correctional facility and drove for Rail Crew Express until he retired in June of 2015. Bobby enjoyed traveling but most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Bobby is survived by son, Bobby Dodd II and his wife, Jennifer of Springfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Brandon, Austin, Aaliyah and Robert Dodd; three sisters, Thelma Dodd, Patricia Ketcher and Janice Rockholt; nephew, Johnny Dodd and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Keith Allen Dodd and brother, John L. Dodd and wife Patricia.
