Waukomis Cemetery


The funeral service for Douglas Wendall Deck, 49, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Carrell Still will officiate. Burial will be in Waukomis Cemetery, Waukomis.

Doug was born July 13, 1957, to William and Kathryn (Gilley) Deck in Enid, OK and died Monday, June 11, 2007, at Mercy Hospital, Oklahoma City.

He graduated from Enid High School and attended Oklahoma University, and graduated from Oklahoma State University Tech in Oklahoma City with a degree in computer science.

He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity at OU. He also enjoyed fishing and any outdoor activity.

He is survived by his father, Bill Deck, of Enid; his brother, Dennis Deck and wife Cindy and sister Cheryl Beasley and husband Jim, all of Enid; his nieces and nephews, which he dearly loved, Kelli Wilson, Chad Lisle, Christopher Deck and Sylvia Beasely and grandnieces, Briley and Addison Wilson and his significant other, Jerri Elliott.

He was preceded in death by his mother Kathryn Deck.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, head trauma division, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
