Waukomis Cemetery


Rites for William Benjamin Clark, retired farmer, were conducted Saturday afternoon in the Fossett – Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel, and burial was in Waukomis Cemetery. He was 91 years old.

Clark died July 22 at his home, 420 N. 4th St.

He came to Oklahoma from Kansas in 1903 and settled on a farm near Waukomis, living there for several years. In 1939 he moved to Enid, coming here from Fort Cobb.

When he was 27 years old Clark joined the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by one son, Claude Clark, Waukomis; two step sons, John Miller of Indiana, and Ben Miller of Missouri; six daughters, Alta Ward, Bison; Mauded Clark, Myrtle Adams and Hattie Weare, all of Wichita; Jennie Phillipi of California, and Louanna Smith of Indiana. He leaves one step daughter, Fannie Seifert of Indiana, and several grandchildren, great – grandchildren, and great – great – grandchildren.
