Graveside services for Linda Carol Burton, 72, Waukomis resident, will be held on November 4, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Waukomis Cemetery.

She was born on June 7, 1945 in Cherokee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Chester LeRoy and Wanda Lee Ackley Kinney, and passed away peacefully on October 24, 2017 in Oklahoma City. She was the oldest of three children. Linda is survived by one sister, Donna (Rex) Johnson, and one brother, Edwin (Pete) Kenny. Linda attended school in Jet and married Ross Lee Burton on May 8, 1965. From that union, were born two children, Chucks (Christy) Burton and one daughter, Tracy Burton.

She is also survived by ten children, eight great-grandchildren, with two on the way in 2018.

Linda loved her community and was known as grandma and mom by most of the kids in Waukomis.

Instead of flowers, the family has selected donation checks be made payable to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital for Leukemia Research.

The family welcomes visitors to stop by and share memories.
